Peter encourages the church to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ and to purse spiritual maturity by learning the scriptures. This knowledge is more than intellectual perception. It should result in moral transformation that can be seen. Secondly, Peter gives a strong warning regarding false teachers that will rise and deceive many. Lastly, we will look at the meaning of the coming of the “Day of the Lord”. As we study this book, we will talk about how this applies to believers today.
